Remember this? This was my Bedroom Crate. It was sort of my little bedroom in Mommy and Daddy’s room. I slept here every night, until…..
Mommy decided I should learn to sleep out of my crate. She moved my crate out and moved the quilt rack in.
The is enough space between the bed where Mommy sleeps and the quilt rack to get into my space. When it is time for bed, Mommy puts the gate across the opening to keep me safe.
I have plenty of room to lay down beside Mommy’s bed. But it did take some getting used to.
The first night, it took Mommy and hour to get me to go to sleep. Mommy had to put on my thunder shirt and a head wrap. She also played some nice soothing music to help us fall asleep
The second night only took half an hour. I still wore my thunder shirt, and Mommy played the nice music. She also added some nice spray stuff that helped me to calm down.
And last night was about 15 minutes. I didn’t even need my thunder shirt. I just wanted my t-touch massage, the nice spray and the music. Mommy and I both slept pretty well.
Hopefully, each night will get better and better. Mommy says this is something I need to learn for the surprise that is coming. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more.
Oh, and don’t forget about out Give-away. Tomorrow morning, Mommy and I are giving away a free copy of My Memories Studio 2 scrapbooking software to one of our readers who comments on Mommy’s review of the product. Check out this post for details: My Memories!
Good Luck!
Puppy Kisses,
Tanner
Good for you, Tanner! I haven't slept in my crate for a long time now, and I haven't even seen it for more than a month! You'll get used to it. :)

Ha! Neither of my dogs sleep in crates at night - the little devils hog the bed instead. It sounds like you're dealing with the change well though. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Tanner,
ReplyDeleteThis is great!! I loved it when I didn't have to sleep in my crate anymore, in fact I was so happy I'm always the perfect dog and try really hard not to make any noise or mess with anything - I don't wanna risk going back in the crate!
It sounds like you're doing really well buddy, woohoo - you're getting all grown up! :)
Wags to you,
Your pal Snoopy :)
We don't sleep in our crates anymore, (except for when Storm is in season and then we sleep in them). But when we were pups we slept in our crates. As excited as we were when we were finally allowed to sleep upstairs, it took us a bit to get used to sleeping there.
