Yes, I managed to get one. Mommy said she should have seen it coming. She said my poop was a bit softer each day. She thought maybe I was getting too many treats. But on Saturday morning, everything revealed itself.
Mommy took me to the vet. The good news is I weigh 73.2 lbs now.
The other good news it that the vet is a sure as he can be that I have a tummy virus. He gave me two medicines. One to stop tummy contractions and one just in case I ate rabbit poop. I like to eat grass, so that is possible. And then he sent me home.
Mommy could not give me anything but ice cubes for 24 hours. Good thing I like ice cubes. I love to chew them, play with them, chase them… whatever.
Mommy also had a new Nyla bone tucked away for me. She gave that to me to play with on Saturday too.
As you can see, I was pretty active. I really enjoyed the new bone.
On Sunday, Mommy started to feed me. This is my first meal:
Boiled chicken and white rice. I had about 1/3 cup first thing in the morning.
Through all of this, I have not lost my interest in food. I sat right beside Mommy while she fixed my chicken.
Then, I sat and waited while Mommy put the bowl on the floor.
And when Mommy said I could, I dug in. It was yummy!!
I got small meals like that all day long. Mommy says I had about 2 cups of rice and chicken yesterday. Oh, and two tiny pieces of banana too. She does not know how many ice cubes I had. She just kept them coming.
Today, she gave me a bit more food first thing in the morning. She says I will get about a cup 4 times a day today.
If that goes well, we keep adding and then put my food back in too! But between you and me, I think I will miss the chicken when it is gone.
Oh, and I should also mention that Meg got sick yesterday too. She said she felt really dizzy. So Mommy tucked her in bed and started to feed her good stuff too. She got peanut butter toast, gator aid, turkey and cheese sandwich and an apple. She seems to be doing better today too.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
Puppy Kisses,
Tanner
Hope everyone is feeling much better!
ReplyDeleteBoy at first I was worried you might have eaten a rock like I did. then the doctor keeps you overnight and while you are there, you fall asleep normal but wake up with a big cone on your head and a really big stomach ache.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you guys are all right. I am sure that the chicken made you feel better and what about lucky Meg getting peanut butter toast.
Now you guys rest and take it easy till you feel 100%.
Love
Bert
