So, to continue the story of my Saturday adventure….
We drove for about 45 minutes. When we got out of the car, there was a lot of sunshine, great smells and people.
Mommy said we were at a winery! I had never been at a winery before.
They were having their spring open house and Craft Fair.
But before we started to explore, everyone decided to get something to eat first. We went to the picnic pavillion. Mommy sat at the end of the table and I sat beside here.
Actually, I laid beside her. She said I was so good that she would share with me. Here sausage and the pretzels were yummy.
This is what we saw when we looked out from the pavillion.
After lunch, we checked out the craft vendors.
Everyone we met wanted to pet me. Mommy and Meg had a lot of fun looking at the pretty things on the tables. And the view of the river valley were pawsome.
The best part of this part of the trip was that I got to go in the building!!! We all went in to taste the wine and great snacks they had inside. I laid beside Mommy’s feet the whole time. I was so good, I got to try some yummy cheese!!!
After the winery, we got back in the car and drove for another long time. It started to rain, but that did not stop our fun. We ended up at “the Barn”.
I didn’t know what to expect. But this is what I found….
These are Cousin K’s horses, Manny and Ezzy.
When they were on the other side of the big door, I didn’t even seem to notice that they were there. But then….
K. brought Manny to my side of the wall, and Aunt J. brought Jingles!!!!
I wasn’t really sure what to make of the whole thing. So I just sat on Mommy’s feet and watched. Here is what it looked like from my point of view:
They sure are big!!!
Meg was really brave. She fed Manny a carrot. She said it was the first time she had ever fed a horse.
E. got brave too! She held Jingles lead while Aunt J. got him some treats. The only problem was, she let him get really close to me! But I didn’t panic! Mommy was there.
We stayed at “the barn” for a bit and visited with my other 4-footed cousins. Then we got back in the car and headed home.
I was so tired when I got home, I laid down, wrapped around Mommy’s work table and slept the rest of the evening away.
What a fun day it was!!! I can’t wait to do it ALL again.

LOVE your cousins! I have met a couple horses and they are such beautiful creatures! But, they can be intimidating until you get to know them because they are so big!
