Mischief Monday– 1-9-2012

I don’t know if you can actually call it “mischief” because Mommy encourages me to make this mess!  Well, I guess that isn’t entirely true either.

Mommy encourages me to PLAY!

Mommy encourages me to chase the tennis balls that she throws over and over again twice a day.  We both have a lot of fun.  But I don’t think the yard likes it much.

This is what the center of our back yard looks like after three months of playing.  When we first started, the weather was warm and dry and I didn’t kick up more than dust.  Then it started to rain!!!  Mud flew everywhere.  Even on Mommy and Me!

And these are the kind of ruts that I have been making!  Mommy says they are pretty deep.

Mommy says she wishes the ground would just freeze and stay frozen for a while, so I can’t make more mess.  Daddy says he isn’t sure what we are going to do come spring when it really starts to rain.  And Summer???  Well…..

But the best part is what I have done to my tennis balls.  These babies were lime green two days ago!!!  I have them beautifully coated with mud and grass and yummy stuff!  They are so dirty, Mommy often looses them in the grass/dirt/whatever in our back yard!

So, I don’t know about you, but I would not call this “mischief”  just good, healthy play time.  So what if we don’t have grass!

Doggy Kisses,

We are participating the the Mischief Monday Blog hop again this week.  Please be sure to check out the Mischief some of my friends are getting into this week.

  1. Maybe just slightly mischievous! Looks like pure fun to me!

  2. Tennis ball toss is such a great game!!!!

  3. I agree, looks like you have had a "ball" playing with your tennis balls!! BOL!!

  4. Yep! That's what our lawn looks like too! Just a big muck hole! Fun but mucky.

  5. Your yard looks a lot like our yard. Kind of unavoidable right now. We laugh that we go out and stomp down the mounds of mud! lol

  6. Hey Tanner,

In my book Mischief and Fun are very closely related, there seems to be lots of evidence of Fun there buddy which is cool!!

Btw, if you really want to be sure you're up to Mischief you could parade around inside with those muddy paws? Just a thought! Tee Hee

Yep, I remember seeing your tennis balls looking a little cleaner :)

Glad to see you're having so much fun,

    Your pal Snoopy :)

  7. Ha, ha. I can see how your Mommy could lose those muddy tennis balls. I bet you have no problem fining them for her though!

    Happy Mischief Monday!

  8. Hi Tanner! Your yard looks PERFECT for a Golden Retriever puppy! How fun!
