The Pow-wow

Remember?  That was the reason that Mommy, Daddy and I made this trip.  We were going to a Wild Bill's Pow-wow in Tunkhannock, PA.

Mommy and Daddy had never been to this pow-wow before.  And I had not been to a pow-wow since I was a puppy.  So, Mommy was a bit concerned about how I would react.

The Pow-wow was in a park close to the campground.
This is what Mommy called "the Arbor".
This is where the people were going to dance.

The Arbor was surrounded by a lot of vendors.
Each vendor had a tent where that had lots of stuff for sale.
I got to go into some of the tents.
Mommy would not take me in if the vendor had a dog.
There were a lot of great things to smell.
I behaved really well, until a well-meaning lady cornered me and I acted up a bit.
Mommy got me out fast and I did well from there.

Here are some of the dancers getting ready to dance.
Mommy says they are wearing 'regalia'.
Mommy said when I was a puppy, I barked at people in regalia.
But this time it did not bother me at all.

After we checked out all the vendors, we went to the truck to get our chairs.  Here I am waiting with Daddy.

When we got back to the Arbor, we set up our chairs.
I laid down on Mommy's feet.....

Crossed my princely-paws......  And watched.

And when the drum started to play...... I took a nap.
Mommy says that is a very good thing for me to do.
She said I was very well behaved and we can go again.

In fact, we are going to another pow-wow this Sunday.

But, I am getting ahead of myself.  This trip is not over yet.  Tomorrow, I tell you about the rest of the trip.

Doggy Kisses,
Tanner
