Look What Popped Up! And a health update!

Last weekend, something in my back yard changed.  When I went out in the morning to do my “business” everything was as it always was.

016

This is what the big white thing that I pee beside always looked like.  And it looked just like this that morning.

Then, Mommy and Daddy took me in the house and put me in my crate for a nap.  When I came out, it looked like this:

018

When I first saw it, I was a bit taken-aback.  But I was willing to walk up to it and check it out.  Mommy opened the door and showed me the steps and I climbed right into this big thing.

003

First, I sniffed the rug.  Mommy said it was in the kitchen area.

001

Then I checked out the dinette.  I really liked that place, so I crawled underneath.

004

Mommy, Daddy and Meg (she does not want me to call her MR anymore) brought lunch out and we ate there.  This was the perfect place for me to get treats.

006

I really liked it under the table.

010

I might even be willing to sleep here.

007

So, if you guessed that I was under a table, you were sort of right.  I was under the table in the dinette of our camper which Mommy and Meg call “Pop”.

011

After the meal, I got to check out where my people will be sleeping.  This is Meg’s bed.  She sleeps by the kitchen.

014

And this is  what I will see if I watch Mommy sleep.  I can’t possibly get up on the beds.  I can’t at home anyway, so this should not be too much of a change.

018

I will probably end up sleeping here, in the middle of the floor.  Or maybe I will sleep under that table.  I guess I will have to wait and see what feels best when the time to go camping comes.  I’m not sure when that will be.  I’ll let you all know how it goes when it happens.

Health Update

I saw my vet again this morning.  Last night, my owies started to do some bleeding.  Mommy has been putting warm towels on them several times a day.

The vet said that the bleeding is actually cerosanguinus fluid.  In other words, it is the stuff that needs to come out!  He said that what I am having is normal and my owies look good.

Mommy and Daddy will be doing the warm towels and peroxide stuff 3-5 times a day till I am all better.  And the vet said he will call to check on me during the weekend.

I am very active and frustrated that I can’t do what I want.  But Mommy and Daddy (and Meg) are taking really good care of me.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes.  Please keep them coming.

Puppy kisses,

Tanner

P.S.  We are also participating in the Saturday Blog Hop.  Check it out!

  1. More puppy prayers coming your way, Tanner! I'm so glad to hear that you're doing OK. When I was spayed I took a couple of days to rest, but I was ready to go running after that... even though the doctor said I had to wait until 10 days. It was the hardest thing I had to do (I think I was running around way before that lol).

Love your camper! I'm sure you'll be going on some fun trips with it!

    Happy Saturday woofs & hugs,

    ~Bailey

  4. hey Tanner,

That is pawsome news about your owies! Funny how icky stuff coming out is actually good. I can understand how hard it is to not be able to do all the fun things you want to do, but just be patient a little longer and you will be ready to roll! :->

Your camper is very cool! I bet you will have fun camping, but I don't understand why you don't get a bed. Seems to me that you should have the bed nearest the kitchen. Don't dogs rule? BOL!

  5. OMD I absolutely love your camper! My hoomies always talked about getting one but they don't have the money for one right now & they have no idea where they are going to park it since our naighbourhood is full of cars parked all over the place already. I bet you enjoy being in there!

Great news about your giggleberries! My son, River has some kind of dermatitis infection on his dangly bits. I hope his will get cured soon. Sigh.

  6. I heard on another blog that you are injured. Our Tanner has a boo-boo too. He's been wearing the cone, a sock over his injured paw pad, and getting peroxide cleanings. No fun, huh?

  7. Hey Tanner,

So happy you're getting better, you'll be back to your old self in no time at all! :)

That camping thing looks like great fun!! I went camping in a tent last year which was cool, this year I think we're gonna stay in a cabin - Mum's always wanted a camper, so I think one day I might get to stay in one just like you, woohoo!!

    Have fun buddy,

    Snoopy :)
